From the Google® Play store are:

  • Torque Lite (OBD2 & Car)
  • Torque Pro (OBD2 & Car)
  • OBD Auto Doctor
  • In CarDoc Pro (Andoid)
  • EOBD Facile
  • Ford Pass
  • My BMW
  • Scan Master
  • Dash Command (Ipad Optimized app)

To use an OBD diagnostic tool, locate the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) under your car's dashboard, usually near the steering column; then, plug the OBD tool into the DLC, turn your ignition to the "on" position without starting the engine.

  • Go to your device (Phone or Ipad) Wifi settings and select Wifi on and select the OBD2 device.

The WiFi connectivity makes it compatible with BOTH Apple iOS (iPhone®, iPad®, iPod® Touch) and also Android devices!

  • Go to your app, it would require you to enter the details of your car.
  • Press Connect and wait for the connection to be established.

On-Board Diagnostic 2 (OBD2) scanner can be used to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with a vehicle’s engine and other systems.

To be more specific, this OBD2 scanners can:

  • Diagnose engine problems When the “Check Engine” light comes on
  • Read the codes stored in the engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM) to determine the source of the problem.
  • Monitor emissions OBD2 scanners can also monitor a vehicle’s emissions system.
  • Reset fault codes After you fix a problem, an OBD2 scanner can clear the fault codes stored in the ECM or PCM. This will turn off the “Check Engine” light
  • Monitor a vehicle’s fuel efficiency by tracking data such as the air/fuel ratio, engine speed, and throttle position.

This information can be used to diagnose issues that may be reducing the vehicle’s fuel efficiency. OBD2 scanners are essential tools for both mechanics and car owners. They provide information about a vehicle’s health and can help prevent repairs down the road – saving you valuable time and dollars along the way.

How it works:

Sensors are connected to major components which constantly send data to the computer which then adjusts performance accordingly to ensure minimal emissions and optimal performance.

Reading data from these computers helps mechanics pinpoint where problems may lie in car performance.

You can also find out this information with this OBD2 bluetooth engine code reader. It connects to your OBD2 port and will immediately intepret the information in the ECU (enging control unit).

You can use this information to find faulty sensors which adversely affect performance, see if cylinders are misfiring, see how hot your engine coolant is, view engine RPMs and much more.
Diagnosing and fixing certain problems yourself can save a lot of time and money. It's also fascinating to see how much engine information is readily available in modern cars.

Specific parameters can be selected via the connection settings to enter your vehicles.

Further more you can target a specific sensor Ex:" Transmission Temperature " by using PID setting.

It will show you in precise details what's going on inside different systems of your car and has an impressive set of features like :

  - Live information.

  - Graphical monitoring record and replay.

  - Code cause / solution tips guide users to the root cause of trouble codes faster , saving $ diagnosis and repair time.

  - Warning lights information.

  - App featuring Dynomometer, horsepower, and torque.

  - Convenient CO2 emissions readouts.

  - Global Positioning Systems tracking of  speedometer use and activity with real-time functionality that can be uploaded to the internet.
